2019 Summer Art Camp Schedule and Descriptions

Class Descriptions

ASC701  Mixed Media (7/08-7/12)

Special attention is given to creative activities based upon a wide range of two- and three-dimensional projects. Painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage, and drawing techniques are taught. A variety of materials are used, including colored pencils, charcoal, pastel, acrylic and watercolor, and markers. Supplies are included.

 

ASC702  Clay Express (7/15-7/19)

Kids will enjoy learning the basics of making clay sculptures and will be amused with their personal creations. This class mainly revolves around the use polymer clay and the various techniques available. By helping and teaching the child how to make clay creations, we are also developing their motorskills and building the child's creativity.

 

ASC703 Drawing & Painting ( (7/22-7/26)

Kids work with an array of drawing and painting materials creating a wide range of aesthetic projects from a variety of subjects. Color, line and texture, creativity, perception, and imagination are explored in a constructive atmosphere.

 

ASC704  Portrait Wonder (7/29-8/02)

Portrait wonder provides creative, artistic and contemporary portrait techniques. Kids will study all the ways a person and contort their faces using mirrors and capture posed an costumed sittings with cameras.

 

ASC705  Illustration bookmaking (8/05-8/09)

In the Illustration for kids class, Kids will be able to explore the craft of book design, cover illustration, and story making. They will be tasked to use their imaginations by not only creating stories, but illustrating them in an interactive manner as well.

 

ASC706 Art Appreciation (8/12-8/16)

In this class, kids will exercise their craftsmanship skills by creating three dimensional art pieces. While fundamental techniques such as painting and drawing are important to learn, the practice of making three dimensional pieces is just as important and will test certain abilities like sculpting objects.

 

ASC707 Art in the Morning (8/19-8/23)

Kids will be able to think outside of the box and explore new ways to make art through the use of everyday materials. Projects in this class will include the use of many different materials such as buttons, ribbon, wood scraps, coffee cans, acrylic paint, cardboard tubes, fabric, foam core, wire, and much more.

 

ASC708  For Little Artists (8/26-8/30)

In this class, children are encouraged to explore their own ideas while working around a theme. Focus will be on skill building, observation, and individuality.

 

Note

  • 2019 summer camp at Artipre will be held during 07/08/19 ~ 08/30/19.

  • The camp will be filled with first-come first served basis. Since the space is limited, you are encouraged to register early for you to be able to reserve the space(s) for your children.

  • Snack and Lunch- We recommend bringing a snack for half day campers and Full-day campers should bring a lunch and snack everyday.

  • All sessions are weekly based, and each session has 5 days from Monday through Friday.

  • If two (2) or more classes are selected per student, 10% discount will be applied to the total tuition fee.

  • (Not to be combined with any other offer)

  • All materials used in classes are included in the tuition fee.

Refund Policy

  • If you cancel more than 4 weeks before the session starting date, the total tuition will be refunded

  • If you cancel between 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the session starts, 50% of the tuition will be refunded.

  • Otherwise, No refund.

 

Make-Up Policy

  • If a notice of the absence has been given by the day before the scheduled lesson, the make- up lesson will be allocated on a Saturday. There will be no credit for missing lessons without absence notification.
